North SeaTac Park

On May 13, 2025, the City Council shared an offer to purchase North SeaTac Park from the Port of Seattle. The offer, if accepted, would preserve all 214 acres of the park as a SeaTac City amenity – forever.

In return, the City has offered to pledge twenty million dollars in future tax revenue from capital improvements being made at the airport. This money would be directed into a new, non-profit foundation created in the Port’s name that would, in turn, fund expenditures that preserve and enhance the beauty, accessibility, and useful enjoyment of North SeaTac Park. This is a significant milestone in the City’s efforts to protect this critical public amenity. As a reminder of the many ways this park improves the lives of those around us, we invite you to watch the following North SeaTac Park Video. You can also read the City’s offer letter which is attached in the Documents section.

Where Life Happens

Beautiful North SeaTac Park is a mix of open space and wooded terrain. Visitors can explore wetlands and forested areas of the park, which provide habitat for a variety of wildlife. It also includes the Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden and SeaTac Community/Senior Center.

This area also offers a variety of activities for all ages. Whether you’re soaring over dirt jumps, racing RC cars through the track, or playing a competitive game of soccer, North SeaTac Park is built for action.

Highlights of the park include:

  • SeaTac BMX Track – A professionally designed BMX course with dirt jumps, tight turns, and regular race events for both beginners and seasoned riders.
  • RC Car Racing Tracks – Dedicated dirt tracks designed for remote-controlled car enthusiasts to test their skills on rugged terrain.
  • Multi-Use Trails – Over 6 miles of paved and dirt trails weave through the park’s forests and fields, perfect for running, walking, or cycling.
  • Disc Golf Course – A challenging 18-hole disc golf course that winds through trees, offering technical shots and elevation changes.
  • Soccer & Sports Fields – Large, well-maintained fields provide space for local leagues and casual games.
