PROS Plan - Shaping SeaTac's Parks
What Do You Love About Parks and Recreation?
Would you like to see additional trails, places to gather and play, ball courts or recreational programming? The City is updating its Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Plan — a 10-year roadmap that will guide investments in parks, trails, and recreation programs through 2036. It's the framework behind everything from new playground equipment to where the next trail gets built — and it's being shaped by community voices right now.
Why This Matters
The PROS Plan is a system-wide Master Plan that guides level of service and future amenities for community to enjoy — not a framework for where the next trail gets built. It sets the level of service and future amenities residents can expect as SeaTac grows. The plan is required for the City to be eligible for state and federal grants.
What's Next
Feedback is being gathered through the end of this year. As input is gathered, the consultant team will be sharing updates along the way. After analysis, the City will share findings and collect another round of input before a final plan is sent to Council for adoption in late 2026. Implementation begins in 2027. The parks we enjoy today exist because earlier generations told the City what mattered — help us build the next chapter.
